It’s official: I’ve found my favourite piece of knitwear, and i believe it’s from some other planet!
Okay. I was joking. It’s from this planet. To be more exact, it’s from Iceland, by a designer named Mundi. To be even more exact, it is sold in Beyond the Valley (Newburgh st, off Carnaby st). Isn’t it so cute + cool + so-chunkily-sexy-it-makes-me-yearn-for-chocolate?
The same designer, Mundi, also does this piece which shows me the gate to hoodie heaven
Who said hoodie can’t be sexy? Well, I definitely never said that since I’ve already got a very sexy slim fit over-sized hoodie from Ambiguous (which transformed me into Lady Gaga a while ago if you remember). But this? This is THE one.
I get very depressed when I can’t afford clothes I want, that’s the reason why I have finished more than half a loaf of walnut cake while writing this. Now I’ll go eat up the rest to gulp down my depression.
By the way, there’s a party for the 2nd issue of Buck magazine tomorrow (or today?) – it’s today now: Wednesday 26th Nov, anybody? It’s gonna be great so come if you don’t have a better plan. No guestlist so you’d better come early, around 7:30 is perfect. Live music from My Tiger My Timing and Death Cigarettes, and DJ sets from Mmmelanie, Deathcrush and Defn.
34 COATE STREET
It has been a very lazy week, and a very lazy weekend. The never-ending wait for the visa has drained me out. I’ve become so anxious, absent-minded/air-headed, quiet, uninspired, uninterested and a bit lost. Everything that is not me.
Friday, however, was a very beautiful day, in every possible meaning. The weather was splendid. Sun was warm and sweet like honey, and the caressing breeze made it the most beautiful autumn day. Went to Borough Market and Tate Modern with DeeDee and had so much fun (although I did intentionally speed through the Rothko exhibition, afraid that his dark art would play trick with the mood). Then met with Shiraz and had so much fun being around some people I never thought I’d meet and have to deal with. Then came a wonderful dinner with Lipi and Briony. Then…
Anyway, I’ve been so blah blah lately, I don’t like this. Back to the point. DeeDee showed up with some very nice clothes, casual almost-floral patterns and relaxing. Very inspiring. Check it out.
Pastel colour patterned dress from a car boot sale (£1) !!!
Sleeve-less poncho-like chunky cardigan from Topshop (£30 something)
Boots from Absolute Vintage (£45)
Bag from Longchamp
Pearl necklace from Vietnam
Not relaxing enough? How about this?
Right. Looking forward to a very nice lunch with roasted chicken at Shiraz’s today. Then comes a new week and hope it’ll be a lot more exciting than the last one. And the visa, sigh.
I was hanging out with my friend Shiraz in Soho, sitting at the Nero on Old Compton st – our favourite coffee shop in town, and had this conversation.
me: it’s amazing how chunky cardigan was for last winter, but this winter is the real chunky season. anything chunky is cool. chunky cardigans, chunky scarves…
Shiraz (cut me short): chunky women?
Oh i love you Shiraz, yes i do.
Just as we talked, it was like to illustrate what we were talking about, this beautiful young man walked pass us
Now any of you lucky bastard that got a chance to flee to Paris this season, don’t forget to go to a shop called Maria Louisa and get this beautiful cardigan before it’s too late and London is no longer cold (which probably will only happen in another thousand years, so yah, you’ve got loads of time).
anyway, if you pay better attention, which wasn’t what i did because it was pouring rain and very dark, his jumper is also very cute with tiny little flowery embroided details. Oi Tomek, where did you get it?
And also i think i called him a beautiful young men but the photo above doesn’t really show it, so here’s an extra
